All timber used within the production of our buildings has been certified as being harvested from a legal and sustainable source. This product comes with 10 year guarantee included. Offering protection against general timber rot and decay the guarantee does not cover the product against timber splits or warping which may occur naturally over time. It is essential that the product is assembled in accordance with the instructions supplied on a firm and level base constructed from a suitably durable material.

It should also be treated shortly after assembly and then annually thereafter with an appropriate high quality preservative. The customer must provide a solid level base Ie Concrete, Flag stones, Decking etc. Clear access to the garden and base is required. Please Note - We do not lift over fences, walls, garages and so on due to regulations. Please be aware that wood is a natural product and will absorb the water it needs. If treating, treat with an oil based product, not a water based product.

We offer a Tanalising treatment option with all our buildings, opting for the treatment will give you a 10 year anti-rot guarantee. If you select our treatment this will prolong the life of the wood, and needs very little maintenance. We recommend with the tanalised treatment for a water repellent to be applied once the building is fitted. Timber Buildings are usually built from kiln-dried Wood, this is because mature trees have moisture in them, and once they have been chopped their moisture level will drop to equate to the surrounding environment. This can take many years if left to occur naturally, but kiln-drying the logs speeds up this process.

As they dry, the logs shrink slightly most of the shrinkage actually happens before manufacture, but once the Timber Building has been installed, a further amount of shrinkage is likely to occur as the Timber acclimatise to their location. As wood is a natural product, it is natural you may notice small splits and cracks in some of the logs, this is due to the thickness of the wood, this will not harm your Building structure. As the Wood shrink a little, settlement will occur in your Timber Building, which will cause the walls to lower, sometimes as much as a couple of centimeters.
