As this only lasts through the transit stage, we do advise treating the wood after installation to protect and preserve it, as well as annual maintenance. For an extra level of protection, you can opt for a pressure treated building which is an effective way of keeping the wood long lasting. This is an extra step in the manufacturing process where the wood is treated in a pressurised tank. Chemical preservatives are forced deep into the wood's fibres to resist rot, decay and termites. When you upgrade to Pressure Treatment, the guarantee is extended from 10 to 15 years. What is Tongue and Groove? Constructed from thick panels which interlock together, Tongue and Groove creates a strong and stable structure that is designed to offer protection against the elements. This method of construction provides you with a strong and dependable building which is built to last. What is the cladding thickness? 11mm: All tongue and groove sheds, summerhouses, playhouses and greenhouses are made of thick 11mm Tongue and Groove cladding. This is great for medium to large buildings ideal for seasonal use. How often do I need to treat my building? The building should be treated once fully assembled and within one month of receiving the product. Will I need planning permission for this building? If the building is shorter than 2.5m tall you should not require planning permission, (unless it's more than 50% of your garden or to be put in your front garden).Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before ordering from us. How long does it take to assemble this building? We do not offer an installation service on any of our buildings, our buildings are designed and made to be easy and simple to assemble.
Using the assembly instruction included in your order confirmation and with a team of at least 2 people you can expect to have your BillyOh building up within a day, or as little as 3-4 hours with some of our smaller buildings. How is the building delivered? Our buildings are delivered in easy to assemble panels. For your convenience the panels are no wider than 4ft so they can be easily manoeuvrable and fit through a standard doorway. Does this come with instructions?
All our products come with a digital instruction booklet, which will be emailed to you to read through before your order is delivered! We also ask you if you can send a photo just so we can confirm everything looks okay before we send our drivers to collect the item.
